You’ve had all last week to critique the NSB team as we, one-by-one, released our midseason prospect rankings. While there were plenty of arguments to be made along the way, it’s all fun and games because it’s YOUR turn now.
A couple weeks ago, I opened up an opportunity for Cubs fans and prospect followers everywhere to participate in creating your own prospect list. For a full week, you guys cast over 50,000 votes along the way. This is such a unique and fun thing, and one that I honestly haven’t seen done anywhere else so I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
The result below is your list. You put it together. Fan-created, fan-slanted, and hopefully fan-proud. If you are looking for a refresher on how the assembly of the list happened, be sure to check out the introductory post here. As for the rankings and names that follow, here’s a little info:
The number is parenthesis behind each players’ name is their overall score. The score is the estimated chance that he will be ranked higher than a randomly chosen player among the options given in the survey. For example, a score of 100 means the player is predicted to be ranked higher than his competition every single time and a score of 40 means the player is predicted to be ranked higher only 40% of the time.

Thank you again for participating in this activity this offseason and I look forward to seeing how much it changes going into our next Prospect List Week during the summer. I hope you enjoyed our extravaganza over the last seven days and if you want to compare your list with any of our writers’, check out the links below!
I didn’t vote in the fan poll but a player everyone shouldn’t be sleeping on is Adan Sanchez. I know his offensive numbers weren’t very good this year in Arizona but he is a big physical catcher with excellent defensive skills and a good looking swing. I’m betting he will be a breakout player in the Cubs system this year.
Yeah, this is a really good call, Bob. I had him on my midseason ranking and I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds a way to tap into that talent better in 2024!
