This is getting to be a little redundant every week as I keep bringing up the same guys to promote and they keep staying in place. I am ready for Pete Crow-Armstrong to move up to Iowa. I am ready for Parker Chavers to move to South Bend. I’m ready for Brandon Birdsell and Cade Horton to go to Tennessee. And I am ready for some relievers to move all across the system.

However, I think we’re still a week away from a mass migration of prospects in the system. That’s going to come with the convergence of two events – draft picks beginning play and the trade deadline passing. Once those things are complete, I can get off my soapbox about Parker Chavers…again.

If PCA moves, Greg Huss will break it down. Otherwise, I am here for all the moves.

Let’s take a look at what happened in the system since last Tuesday as there were a few moves that went down.

Iowa – Jared Young returned from Chicago. RHP Adrian Sampson outrighted Iowa
Tennessee – Released Zach Davis and DJ Artis. Sent Stephen Gonsalves to South Bend.
South Bend – Activated Yovanny Cruz and Stephen Gonsalves, sent Chase Watkins and Dillan Granadillo to the Development List. Sent Derek Casey to the ACL on a rehab assignment.
Myrtle Beach – None
Mesa – Released pitcher Elian Almanzar
DSL – Activated pitcher Bryan Landaez. Free agent RHP Brayan Diaz signed to a minor league contract and assigned to DSL Red
Free Agents – Pitcher Kenten Egbert officially signed as a nondrafted free agent out of Miami (OH).

I will check back throughout the morning and early afternoon. Sometime around 2:30, I’m going to takeoff and head to Peoria. When I get to the ballpark, I can check back in with any final details.
