This is awkward. I don’t think the three of us at North Side Bound planned on having the Tuesday transaction post come out today or tomorrow. I was extremely focused on putting together my prospect list that I wanted to take a break today and I thought it would be a good day to take a break as all the full season affiliates were off today.

So, I spent the morning doing some stuff for a new class I’m teaching in the fall and the transactions started to come in. And then, this afternoon, Instagram showed its power as a few players alerted their travel plans. Thanks to Derek Ring who alerted us about their new travel plans and itineraries for the near future. Derek was on top of it so thank you Derek.

I am not going to make a new post tomorrow. I’ll update this post throughout the late morning and early afternoon. I have an eye doctor appointment in DeKalb at 9:30. Then I have to run a couple errands so I probably won’t be home until about 11:30 AM tomorrow. And then I’ll update it until it’s time for me to go to Beloit for the South Bend game

C Henniel Alcala assigned to DSL Cubs Red. He was signed back in March.

Cubs signed RHP Shane Greene and assigned to ACL Cubs, And, yes, it is that Shane Greene.

Iowa Cubs transferred RHP Nick Neidert to the Development List.

Edwin Rios is back in Iowa after being on the taxi squad for the London series.

The Tennessee Smokies transferred LHP Luke Little to the Development List.

OF Yohendrick Pinango roster status changed by South Bend Cubs. He has been suspended for his altercation from Sunday. The number of day is unclear at this point.

And Big Bomb #1

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans then broke some news that Michael Arias was promoted to South Bend. That caught me by surprise. I thought that Brody McCullough or Grant Kipp were just as worthy of moving up. They may still do that once some things shake out tomorrow. South Bend did not announce that Arias was promoted. However, they are going to have to make a corresponding move or two. It will be interesting to see who is in that rotation tomorrow the rest of this week..

And the Afternoon Big Moves

Jared Young was called up to the Cubs as Brandon Hughes was placed on the 60 day IL and Miles Mastrobuoni was sent to Iowa.

These have not been officially confirmed by the affiliates, yet. That should happen tomorrow. But Jordan Wicks and Luis Vazquez, both posted on their Instagram accounts that they, more or less, have been promoted to Iowa. Alexander Canario, showed a picture of a plane and a tarmac which intimated that he is going to be heading somewhere that’s not Arizona and that he can begin his rehab in either South Bend, Myrtle Beach, or Tennessee.

There was not any news on whether Pete Crow Armstrong had been promoted, but I would not be surprised to see him moved up tomorrow, along with several other players throughout the organization.

Wednesday

Iowa sends Levi Jordan to Tennessee, Activated Manny Rodriguez and Nelson Velazquez.

2:00 PM

I have not heard anything from South Bend yet and probably won’t until I get to the ballpark as they are traveling to Beloit today. Maybe some time around 3 or 4 there will be a blurb or two. The same for Tennessee.
