Quick Breaking News (Again) – Caissie and Devers Win Cubs’ Player of the Month Awards

Today is the busiest Monday that I can recall at North Side Bound.

First, it started with The Breakdown recapitulating the last week in the system.

Then the DSL Affiliate Previews dropped just before they began playing at 10 AM.

DJ Herz then won Player of the Week honors.

And now…..The Cubs named Owen Caissie and Luis Devers as their players of the month for May!

Caissie hit .313 for the month with an amazing 26 RBI and 4 homers.

Devers, who also won our pitcher of the month here at North Side Bound, put up a 1.48 ERA in 24.1 innings while striking out 28.
