Pete Crow-Armstrong – Picture by Stephanie Lynn

And just like that, the most long awaited promotion of the season has been made!

South Bend will be the home of Pete Crow-Armstrong who was the Cubs MiLB Player of the Month in April and he has not been too bad this month either.

Acquired in the Javy Baez-Trevor Williams trade from the Mets, PCA, as he is well-known, was hitting .354 at Myrtle Beach with an OBP of .443 and an OPS of 1.000.

PCA is turning into a 5-tool player this year as he has taken his already gifted defensive and hitting skills and added some power. The Cubs reworked his stance this winter to get him a little more upright and the results are very effective as PCA cranked out 7 dingers in the Carolina League, a noted pitcher’s league. He also has 13 stolen bases to his name and a wRC+ of 177.

He is going to be fun to watch in South Bend this month!

Expect some corresponding moves later today from Myrtle Beach, South Bend and Tennessee.

And when I got to Davenport in 2 weeks, guess who I am taking about 100 pics of that week?
