With only two games on the docket today, the pickings for awards today were pretty slim. However, there are some clear cut choices as the Pelicans won their fourth game of the week while South Bend lost a heartbreaker in Fort Wayne.

Hitter of the Day – Kevin Made went 2-for-2 in his 2022 debut. The young 19-year-old did leave the game early as he builds up back to playing full games.

Starting Pitcher of the Day – This might be the worst kept secret of the day as Daniel Palencia pitched very well for South Bend going three innings with 5 Ks. He did walk 4 but only allowed 1 hit on the day.

Reliever of the Day – Manny Espinoza was the man today. He went 4 innings in relief today with 4 Ks piggybacking off of Palencia.
