When minor league baseball went to a six-day schedule with every Monday off last year, Tuesday became the de facto day for affiliates to make roster moves. That is what today is all about.

The strange thing is that it doesn’t happen all at once. Rather, it unfolds slowly over the day.

We’ve seen transactions happen as early as nine in the morning and as late as right before game time. What I do is update this post throughout the day with time stamps so that you can check back frequently, or infrequently, to see what moves are made.

However, with almost 40 players in rehab in Mesa for an assortment of injuries, we will see the IL lists begin to fill up. Both the affiliate sites and Arizona Phil of The Cub Reporter started listing players as being on the 60 Day IL. Here is what we have so far. Depending on what date the player was placed on the 60 day IL, that determines their earliest they can return. As of today, we do not have that information for every prospect listed below.

60 Day List – Dakota Mekkes, Brendon Little, Derek Casey, Gabriel Jaramillo, Tanner Jesson-Dalton, Chris Kachmar, Michael McAvene, Josh Burgmann, Kelvin Feliz, Drew Gray, Joel Machado, Andricson Salvador, Alberto Sojo, Sam Thoresen, Parker Chavers, Cole Roederer, Yovanny Cruz, Ben Hecht, Jack Patterson, C. D. Pelham, and DJ Artis.

Miguel Amaya and Andy Weber are on the 7-DAY IL.

Jonathan Sierra and Erick Castillo are on the Development List.

Some players, like Jordan Nwogu, Casey Optiz, Kevin Made, Zac Leigh, Koen Moreno, Brailyn Marquez, Christian Franklin, and Kevin Alcantara, among many others, are not on any list or any IL. Hopefully, those players will be called up soon.

FYI – MiLB is pretty tight lipped about prospect injuries. Unless the player leaks the injury, we rarely get the severity of the problem.

Being that this is the first Tuesday of the MiLB season, we’re are not expecting a lot of promotions being made today.

I will check back in around 9 this morning and then about every hour or so thereafter. Just keep clicking refresh.

10:00 A.M.

It is pretty quiet out there except for Marquee dropping a top 25 prospect list.

There is some confusion out there about who has been placed on a 7 Day IL and 60 Day IL right now. Hopefully, we will get that cleared up today.

I will check back a little bit later.

11:00 A.M.

Some moves are slowly happening.

South Bend Cubs placed RHP Jose Albertos on the 7-day injured list.

12:00 P.M

There should be a corresponding move for Albertos from Myrtle Beach at some point or it could even come out of Mesa. We shall see.

4:00 P.M.

All is quiet on the South Bend front. No word on if anyone is coming up to take his spot on the roster.

4:50 P.M.

I thought this might be a possibility and I am excited it is happening!
